If you had wanted to webcast an event or seminar two years ago it would have cost about £2500 to set up the web platform that you were going to webcast on – the dual screen platform that has a smaller video screen and a larger screen for powerpoint slides. The powerpoint slides being synced to the video.

On top of that cost you had £750 for a cameraman and a producer.

Last week we produced three 45 minute webcasts that can be seen on demand after buying a £50 a month licence from Dat Presenter – yes you did here me right £50. Our client can add 7 more presentations to their platform for no extra charge.

So the cost of producing these three presentations was just under £3000 which will drop to £2500 for the next round because they’ve already paid for the platform.
The reason for the dramatic drop in price has been the technology behind webcast plaforms, webinars or web TV – which ever description you are happy with.

If you are happy to film these seminars yourself – and we are happy to advise you on how to do this – you could literally be looking at a cost of £50 per month and a couple of hours on a computer uploading your powerpoint slides to the platform – it’s a very user friendly tool and a big thumbs up to the guys at Dat Presenter for leading the way.
